Hello
all!
This is my first year teaching at Porters Point
School. I taught second grade in Burlington last year. Growing up I lived in
California, Texas, Hawaii, and Colorado. I moved to Vermont five years ago when
I started school at Saint Michael's College. I fell in love and am happy to
call Vermont my new home! In my free time I love cozying up with a cup of tea and a good
book. I love to sing and have been singing in various choirs my whole
life.
I am thrilled to be a part of the first grade team
at PPS! As a
teacher I know that education is more than what students know, but about what
they do, and who they become. It is about how what they learn helps them to
become better citizens. In my classroom I aim to instill motivation for
continuous learning, inclusion for all, and empathy—all important
characteristics both inside and out of the classroom.
